Few days old, but I checked and didn't see it posted--

“Blink and you’ll miss me,” said Matthew Goode, describing his ill-fated, longtime partner of Colin Firth’s devastated college professor in A Single Man. On the one hand, Goode does occupy a minimum of screen time in Tom Ford’s directorial debut, a stirring ’60s-set drama currently in the awards-season hunt. On the other, the striking, versatile 31-year-old Brit is pretty hard to miss in any of his films, from a romantic lead in Chasing Liberty to an ambitious Midwestern cutthroat in The Lookout to the social-climbing confidante of Brideshead Revisited. Single Man is Goode’s return to indies after his bewigged antiheroics as Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias in last spring’s Watchmen; he’ll be back to the majors next year opposite Amy Adams in Leap Year. He spoke recently to Movieline about discovering A Single Man for himself, what scared him about Tom Ford, and how a small part can sometimes make all the difference.

minor spoilers, but nothing that'll ruin the movie )

He's so adorable. This movie was beautiful; the scene he mentions with the phone call made me cry. Very highly recommended.

MERYL: "I'LL ALWAYS DO SEX SCENES."

Meryl Streep has revealed that she does not mind starring in sex scenes.

The 60-year-old, who plays a woman who has an affair with her ex-husband (Alec Baldwin) in new comedy It's Complicated, said that although it is "unusual" for someone to perform sex scenes at her age, it is important to show life as "authentic".

In an joint interview with Baldwin, Streep told The Times: "Sex scenes, love scenes. Yes, at this age it's unusual for somebody to do a love scene, to be making love.

"Yeah, that is unusual. But that is just how benighted we are. Because, you know, we still are alive. It's you and I, baby. It's authentic.

"The whole idea that you have to look a certain way and be a certain age to earn love is ridiculous. We love what we love. It doesn't matter what shape it is. It's thrilling to see real people on screen."

It's Complicated is scheduled for release next month.

If you're not going to talk about it, at least download it to listen to later

I love these men and need an Urbaniak gif.

Video of ASkars from EW Photoshoot

  • Dec. 21st, 2009 at 5:11 PM

Unfortunately I can't embed the video.  Follow the link below:  (He plays with a dog zomg so cute!!!111)

Watch the video here

The cast of HBO’s True Blood came in at No. 2 on EW’s list of 2009’s Entertainers of the Year. At his photo shoot for our Best & Worst Issue, on-stands now, we caught up with Alexander Skarsgard to chat about the show’s success in season 2 and the most popular question he gets from fans: “When are you gonna hook up with Sookie?” (The short answer: He’s not sure if it’ll happen in season 3 this summer, but he’s confident that it will happen: “I’ll do my best to mess things up between Sookie and Bill,” he promises. “We’ll see how well I do…”) Now I love Skarsgard’s performance on the show, from the devilish grin that’s just below the surface, to the grief that poured from his eyes when Eric mourned his maker. I appreciate his talent. But we do need to discuss the torso. Watching this video — which for me has the same effect as laughing gas, I imagine — started an internal debate: Do I enjoy him more in long-sleeve dress shirts that provide ample heavage or in T-shirts that bare his biceps? After much consideration, I’ve decided the former. I find it easier to focus on what he’s saying when his biceps are covered, even though technically, I find his neck to be the sexier body part and it looks best in an open collar (:05 to :10, for instance). Clearly I’m doing a poll after the jump.

Mods, one photo from this shoot was posted but the video and this article is new.  I checked but didn't see a post including these.

Song of the Year
"'Empire State of Mind' was definitely one of my favorite records of 2009 ... one of the biggest records of 2009, also. It's timeless. It's epic, and it makes me want to be from New York every time I hear it. I'm like, 'Wow, I wish I was in New York, or I wish I was from New York.' It's just that great feeling when you hear it."

Artist of the Year
"[Lady Gaga]. She has a very bold, fearless image and, I have to say, I have so much respect for original artists ... who aren't afraid to do what they do. That's what I respect the most. She's awesome."

After a posting on the website 24hourhiphop over the weekend that said rapper Asher Roth was going to come out of the closet, word began spreading rapidly via Twitter. The EVP of Roth's record label quashed those rumors overnight:

"Asher Roth is not gay, and is not scheduled to be interviewed on the E! Channel. Furthermore, Asher has not been dropped from SRC Records, and is a top priority at the label after having sold over a million copies his "I Love College" single. Asher is currently working on his next album for SRC."

and he gets stripped down to his undies! Pink's husband ran onstage naked at her concert in Germany last night. Motocross rider Carey Hart stunned the 30-year-old singer when he dashed onto the stage while she was singing 'So What' in Hanover. The star screamed when she saw him, then realised he was nude and fell over in shock. Pink wrote on her Twitter page: "I'm sorry, did I 4get 2 mention that Carey surprised me on stage during so what + was naked in the pillow fight? I screamed, then fell over. I've never been so 'got' in my life! F****rs!!!! (sic)". It was the final show in the star's 'Funhouse' world tour and Carey was desperate to do something outrageous to help her celebrate. Despite her husband's shocking surprise, Pink was thrilled with the way the night turned out, insisting she would never forget it. She wrote: "Its been a year of beautiful, magical moments. Thankyou to all of the people that shared it with me. For real tho... Merry merry happy happy. Tonight will go down in the treasure chest in my head and heart, filed under "never to be forgotten" I'm speechless and grateful to all of u." source - http://entertainment.iafrica.com/news/2125480.htm

GABRIELLA CILMI has good reason to get the balloons out - after the Aussie beauty beat our homegrown talent to land Britain's most played song of 2009.

Her track Sweet About Me topped a list put together by copyright and royalty collection organisation PRS For Music.

But it's not all bad news for Brit music makers - seven of the remaining nine slots in the Top Ten are occupied by our own.

COLDPLAY took second place with Viva La Vida while Sheffield outfit MOLOKO scooped bronze for dance classic The Time Is Now.

The data was compiled from the number of plays and performances each song got online, live, on TV and on radio.

The figures cover 12 months from October last year to September 2009, so they include three months of 2008.

And that goes some way to explaining why not a single track in the most played Top Ten - which also includes songs from GIRLS ALOUD, THE SCRIPT, TAKE THAT and JENNIFER HUDSON - was released in 2009.

Not that I suspect that would bother Gabs, who looks very relaxed in her swimsuit.

Sam Worthington says his next film, the remake of Clash of the Titans, is being beefed up with additional scenes and may be converted to 3D.

Talk of cast and crew returning to a film set is often interpreted by fans as a sign of trouble.

While Worthington admits some footage does need fixing with reshoots, he insists that Warner Bros is generally so pleased with what it has seen so far that it's providing cash to add new mythical magic to the movie.
Speaking to Hero Complex - the Los Angeles Times' counterpart to The Geek Files - the 33-year-old actor said: "We're going to be going back and shooting more scenes for it, they cut loose with some money so we can add to it."

He said the extra filming would take place in January, on a tight schedule: "We're going to be right up against it - the movie comes out in March."

He added: "There were some creaky parts but they are the parts that we knew were creaky and that we knew were going to be creaky going into it. The studio is also letting us add some gods and scenes. And they're talking about making the movie a 3D film."

These are intriguing comments - it's unclear whether these new 'gods and scenes' are entirely new ideas not in the 1981 original, or whether they are classic sequences that until now have had to be cut.

I would hope this remake goes beyond simply updating what we saw back in 1981, when Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion animation brought the various beasts to life.

It's a logical step to assume the 3D appeal of Avatar is making Warner Bros executives consider that format. But does Clash of the Titans need to be in 3D? Where should studios draw the line with deciding what should be in 3D and what shouldn't?

ONTD what do you guys think of 3D? I had never seen a 3D movie until Avatar and it was so unlike anything I could ever imagine, it was so awesome. I hope this movie gets a 3D release
